Paralegal (Spring 2008)

Paralegal Sampler Day (Section 1) (0.5 CEU)

Participants can earn up to a maximum of 3.0 hours of MCLE credit. Continental breakfast and lunch will be provided.
This one day special event is designed to provide information that will be valuable to those considering entering the paralegal field, current paralegals and paralegal students interested in specializing, and attorneys and others who work with paralegals. The day will include three 1 hour workshop sessions focusing on the nuts and bolts of a variety of legal specializations which currently utilize paralegal skills. Attendees will be able to choose two morning workshops and one afternoon workshop. Each workshop will focus on providing information on the specialty's legal process, best practices for successfully managing the processes and clients, and tips to maximize productivity of the attorney-paralegal working relationship. A technology fair, open during workshop breaks and registration, will provide attendees with information on a variety of technology solutions for law office practices and procedures. Continuing education credits will be available.

Nancy M. Salzman, J.D., is an active attorney for over 25 years, a credentialed teacher, and a member of mediation/arbitration panels. She has direct experience building and training legal professionals. She has held leadership positions in profit and nonprofit businesses. She was recognized by peers through election to select attorney groups and appointment as California Bar delegate.
